Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico to a family of musicians. As a child, she was exposed to lots of traditional music as well as old boleros. She also listened to the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana is a lover of opera and tangos, and any dramatic performance. She began singing and learning music with her mother, she began her more intensive singing training at the age of 16 working with the famous Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. She continued her musical training in the School of Music of Guadalajara University, then at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. In Guadalajara as well as Mexico City, she was part of a variety of opera choruses and chamber ensembles. After relocating to America in the year 2000, she joined the United States in 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before making the move to her current home in southern California. She is currently performing traditional Latin American songs at private events as a soloist. As a musician and teacher Ana is a dedicated participant in numerous community projects because of her love and passion for music. Ana has been a participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands (as as Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana enjoys singing traditional Latin American songs and hopes that she can inspire others to do the same.
